Cancel a Cloud Pool subscription
Published 9/28/2026· 20 views
Cancelling a Cloud Pool schedules the subscription to end. Your VMs keep running until the paid-through date, then they are removed.
Steps
- Open Billing → Subscriptions.
- Find the Cloud Pool subscription.
- Choose Cancel (wording may show as scheduling cancellation).
- Read the confirmation: it states when VMs stop (the end of the current period when known).
- Confirm.
The subscription status becomes pending cancellation (shown as cancelled in some views, with a banner on the pool page).
What happens next
| Phase | Effect |
|---|---|
| After you cancel, before period end | VMs keep running; you can usually resume to undo the cancellation |
| After period end | The platform tears down pool VMs and ends the subscription |
The pool detail page shows a banner when cancellation is scheduled, including the paid-through date when available.
Resume before the end date
If your portal offers Resume on a pending-cancellation Cloud Pool, use it before the period ends to keep the service. After teardown, the subscription is terminated and VMs are gone.
Tips
- Export data and confirm backups before the period ends.
- Cancelling is not the same as destroying a single VM (see Destroy a Cloud Pool virtual machine).
- Billing questions about invoices after cancel go under Billing pages or a support ticket.
Still stuck?
Open a support ticket from Support → Tickets if cancel or resume fails, or the period-end date looks wrong.
